Pupils in Y1 and Y1/2 experienced nest building on small and very large scales! First, they worked in groups of 3, to make a nest for a small bird. After that, we worked together as a class because we needed to make a nest for a dinosaur! The children used twigs, leaves, feathers and dry grass for the small nest. For the dinosaur nest, we used large willow branches and added the freshly cut grass from the Forest School field to the inside of the nest. As you can see from the photos... some unusual looking 'dinosaurs' came along to try out the giant nest!
