Pupils in Y5 have just started the 'Art in Nature' strand of the Forest School Curriculum. For their first challenge, they worked in teams, using natural and man-made materials, to construct a bridge, strong enough to carry one member of their team at a time. It was great to see pupils rise to the challenge, thinking outside of the box to create a bridge not only to fit the purpose, but to be creatively different from all of the other bridges.
As you can see from the photos, we all had fun working together and testing the stability and strength of our bridges. Mrs Tighe couldn't resist crossing a few bridges too!
Forest School King for this session was Harvey Cropper and Forest School Queen was Tahlia Holmes-Smith.
