Children in Miss Suther's Class have been learning about how birds survive across the seasons. First, we went on a 'bird hunt' to find pictures of British birds, including Robins, Magpies, Wrens and Wood Pigeons. After that, we learnt about the different survival tactics that birds use, especially in Winter when food is not easily available to them and they need to keep warm. Our 'bird expert', Karsen Loney amazed us with his knowledge about birds. The Team Challenge for this session was to build a comfortable, warm, dry nest for a 'giant Robin'.
The Forest School King for this session was Karsen Loney and our Forest School Queen was Madeilynn Evans.
