MAPPING THROUGH THE SNOW AND RAIN! - Y3/4 & Y4/5

Pupils in Y3/4 and Y4/5 have been developing their mapping skills out on the Forest School Field. First, they got to grips with navigation, using the 4 compass points, North, East, South and West. They were so good at 'setting' the compass to North and following their 'line of sight', that we quickly moved onto using 8 compass points, so that we could navigate our way to more specific locations.

Our photos show pupils from Y4/5 ready to brave the heavy rain for their mapping challenge, and the pupils from Y3/4 who were determined to show off their mapping skills, despite the snow blizzard conditions! Each class enjoyed a game of 'Forest Warriors and King's Men'... and a hot Vimto to warm us up once back inside!

Forest School Kings and Queens for these sessions were:

Heidi Hodkinson, Noah Hillier, Jakob Savery, Jack Corey, Leah Madden-Gammack, Jack Sparks, Lily Walker-Knowles and Cole Lewis.
