MINI-OLYMPICS

We took 25 of our Y6 pupils and 4 lucky Y5 pupils to Marl Pits Sports Complex to take part in the Rossendale Mini-Olympics 2022.

Some of our Y6 pupils had choreographed their own Dance routine, which they performed during the opening ceremony. Nomagugu Vundla read our her School Games Pledge in front of a large audience of pupils and staff from 13 Rossendale primary schools.

We took part in the Tag Rugby Tournament, Football Tournament, Outdoor and Adventurous Activities and the Netball Tournament.

Here are our results:

Tag Rugby - 1st place

Football - 4th place

Netball - 1st place

It was a fun and memorable day and a fantastic way for the Y6 pupils to end their final year at Thorn.
