SUPERHERO DANCE COMPETITION Y3/4 & Y4/5
Pupils in Y3/4 and Y4/5 have been learning how to use the dance elements; TRAVEL, GESTURE, STILLNESS, JUMPS and TURNS, in group 'Superhero' dance sequences. First, they developed awareness of the different characters and then learnt how to 'show' sounds like BOOM! CRASH! and KAPOW! within their actions. They worked in pairs developing ACTION and REACTION sequences and then they shared their ideas with another pair, to create their final group performance. Each group performed their dance on stage and medals were awarded to the 'standout' performances from a boy and a girl in each class.
