LKS2 - MAPPING - USING A COMPASS
Pupils in Mrs Woods' Class have been learning how to use a compass to navigate using the 4 compass directions NSEW. They worked in small teams, racing to different features of the Forest School to set the compass to North and follow their line of sight in one of the 4 directions to locate a colour cones.
We finished our session with a game of Run the Gauntlet. where the children had to run around the 'castle walls', avoiding the giant yellow 'boulders'.
Our Forest School Queen was Lilah-Rose Craven and the Forest School King for this session was Luke Denny. Both answered lots of questions and showed good leadership when using the compass.
