Radio Lancashire's Visit to Thorn
We were delighted to welcome Radio Lancashire's Sally Naden to Thorn!
She came to school on Friday 6th March to interview parents, teachers and pupils about our recent achievement of gaining the Sainsbury's School Games Gold Mark and about the impact that P.E and sport has on the wellbeing of our pupils. Our Year 6 Sports Leaders, School Games Crew and Bronze Sports Ambassadors all contributed to the broadcasts and they were an absolute credit to the school as they talked about their roles and contribution as Sports Leaders. The children even performed a cheerleading chant for Joe Wilson, the studio presenter at Radio Lancashire. Rossendale School Games Organiser, Nathan Bibby also attended and talked about the partnership between Primary Schools and High Schools and the different School Games Competition Levels and School Games Values.
