ROSSENDALE CELEBRATION OF SPORT 2016
We were delighted to be asked by Rossendale Leisure Trust, to take part in Rossendale's Celebration of Sport 2016. Children in Year 5S, Year 4/5T, Year 2C and Year 1/2C were filmed during PE lessons so that a video could be shown on the evening. Eight of our pupils thoroughly enjoyed meeting Paralympian Swimmer and silver medallist, Tom Hamer. Kaid Ticehurst, Harvey Ticehurst, Isobel McEwan and Millie Hart were interviewed on stage and answered questions about PE and Sport at Thorn.
Thank you to Rossendale Leisure Trust's Jodie Shenton and Ken Masser for organising and presenting the evening and giving us the opportunity to showcase the sports facilities at Thorn and our many talented young pupils.
