Year 3/4S

Welcome to class 3/4!

Miss Spencer is the class teacher and we are supported by Mrs Field, Mrs Lee, Mrs Neil, Miss Stokes and Miss Townley. In our class there are 25 children.

PE is on Mondays and Fridays. Homework and spellings are given out on Mondays and collected on Friday. Homework club is on Wednesday and Thursdays after school.

The children are given an opportunity to change their home reading books every day. smiley

This term we are learning all about the Romans. We have had lots of fun exploring the Roman army and designing our own shield. We were lucky enough to have been visited by a Roman soldier and re-enact life in the Roman army.
During our numeracy lessons we have been making it very practical! To understand fractions we made human fraction walls. To develop our understanding of measuring we carefully followed instructions and made paper planes, we then carried out a fair test and measured the distance accurately. It was great fun! smiley

Practical maths

This half term with Dan our sports coach, we are learning how to play handball. This week we are learning how to keep control of the ball.

Sport

International week was great fun. We spent a week visiting different countries around the world. We were able to take part in a range of activities such as arts and craft, research, cooking and dressing up relating to the different countries. We were really adventurous with trying new food and ate traditional dishes in the countries we studied. They were delicious!
