Year 6
Hello and Welcome to Year 6 
Our Class Teachers are Mrs Boulton and Miss Riding. There are 36 children in our class aged 10-11 and we live on the top corridor!
Year 6 can be a very stressful year with SATs and transition to Secondary School but there are lots of fun and exciting things going on aswell. We will keep you up to date with our blogs.
Homework is given out on Fridays and collected in on Tuesdays.Mustn't forget to have our Diaries signed weekly!!

Year 6 were inspired by the work of artist Heleen Cornet who lives in the Caribbean. We investigated her use of tone, shade, colour and mood and experimented with a variety of relief techniques before designing our own watercolour scene.
We transferred this design onto fabric and embelished using a variety of stitches including cross stitch, chain stitch and running stitch. We highlighted significant design features with buttons, sequins and ribbon. Finally, we used running stitch to attach our backing, filled our cushion and used blanket stitch to close.
I'm sure you'll agree they look beautiful and comfortable.
