Hello and Welcome to Year 6
Our Class Teachers are Mrs Boulton and Miss Riding and they are helped this year by Mrs Neil, Mrs Davey, Mrs Tighe, Miss Duffy & Mrs Harris. There are 36 children in our class aged 10-11 and we live on the top corridor!
Year 6 can be a very stressful year with SATs and transition to Secondary School but there are lots of fun and exciting things going on aswell. We will keep you up to date with our termly blog.
Homework is given out on Fridays and collected in on Tuesdays. Don't forget to have your Diary signed!!
Autumn Term
This term we have been learning about the Benins from Western Africa.
We were lucky enough to have a Drumming workshop using real African Drums.
Spring Term
This term has seen us preparing for our SATs tests. Also, within our Water Worlds Theme, our Topic on Erosion covered looking at coasts around Britain. We had lots of fun cooking dishes in our Cookery room. We made seaweed curry!
We also had a visit from a 'forensic scientist'. Using clues, we established who committed the crime!
