KS1 - ART IN NATURE - Y1R/S
Children in Y1R/S have been enjoying creating clay sculptures in the Forest School. First, they learnt about the legend of 'The Green Man' and how if you put a 'Green Man' in your garden it represents 'new life' and can help your garden to grow. The children manipulated the clay into the face and features of their very own Green Man and then added plants and leaves to complete their design.
The children then learnt about some of the animals that might live in the Forest School and used the clay again, along with sticks, collected from the Forest School, to design and make their own hedgehogs.
