Homework and spellings are given out on Fridays to be returned Mondays.

This half term we have been out in the Forest school area developing skills in working as a team and solving puzzles through the theme of Pirates. Here are some photos of us at work.

We have also had a visit from a historian who taught us about the lives of Ancient Egyptians and some of us got to dress up!
We have also had fun making and tasting flat bread, which the Ancient Egyptians ate.
As part of Plants week we went on an Autumn walk to collect leaves and seeds. Then with our friend we made a face out of the    Autumn things we found.

It has been another busy half term in class 1/2. We have been learning about our bodies and senses in science. We enjoyed

our pyjama day to raise money for Children in Need.

We have been practicing our songs and dance for the Christmas concert and enjoying lots of other Christmas activities. Here are some pictures of the innkeepers and their wives.
We had a lots of fun at our Christmas party!
It has been another busy term in class Year1/2. We have enjoyed reading, writing and following instructions in Literacy and especially sampling the results of what we had made! We made vegetable salad and pizzas.

We also enjoyed writing instructions to make under the sea creature finger puppets. These included sharks, penguins, crabs

   and other amazing creatures.

On World Book Day we came to school dressed as our favourite book characters.

To end the term the School Council organised an Easter bonnet competition, we had some great entries in our class.

Congratulations to Amiee-Rose who was the winner in Year 1/2.
