This week our English work is all about pets. We are going to watch clips from the film Secret Life of Pets (I love this film!) to talk about what pets do when their owners are at work and read some books about pets.
Remember in our class we have learnt how to use joining words like and, so, but and because to make our sentences longer. We have also done lots of labelling and written simple instructions.
Remember when you are writing instructions we use numbers for the correct order, time words such as- First, Then, Next, After, Finally and bossy verbs such as- take, brush, clean, make, play.
Don’t forget to rehearse your sentences out loud, just like we do in class. Perhaps you could use your pen as a microphone! Alternatively, say your sentence out loud and use actions for punctuation (capital letters-make a A with your hands, full stop-punch with your fist, exclamation mark-draw a line in the air and punch with your fist).
