Our Girls' Football Team travelled to The Valley Leadership Academy to take part in the Rossendale School Sports Partnership Football Competition. Despite there only being two teams in the competition, the atmosphere was great, with all players showing superb School Games Values.
First, we played a skills competition against Stubbins Primary School and then we played a 20 minute game. Thorn won the skills competition and the game was a 0-0 draw. Overall, we won by just one point, but it really wasn't about the winning, as both teams were just delighted to be able to play in a face-to-face competition again.
Well done to the team, Haydn Goldsworthy for the training sessions and Mrs Stocks for your enthusiasm and support ... you were all amazing!
