KS1 -SURVIVAL - CAMPFIRE SAFETY

Pupils in Miss Suther's Class have been learning about how fire is used for survival, to keep us warm, cook food, boil water, dry wet clothes and keep away predators. First the children learnt how to start a fire and build a fire. Then they learnt how to put out the fire safely. After that, they used their new fire building skills to build a fire, using tinder, kinder and larger sticks for fuel. Finally, each team took part in a water challenge, to see which team could transport the most water into the team bucket. As you can see from the photos, it was very close, with all teams almost filling the bucket to the brim!

Our Forest School Queen for this session was Olivia Lord and the Forest School King was Jonah Mensah.
