GIRLS' TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT
Two of our Y6 pupils represented Thorn in the Rossendale Girls' Table Tennis Tournament. Cornelia Rojek and Lottie Jamieson have been coached by Miss Edwards, in preparation for this competition and they played exceptionally well
In the first round, they were both group winners and then they faced each other in the Quarter Finals. Lottie progressed to the Semi-Finals and won her game to play in the Final against the reigning champion from last year's tournament.
It was an exciting match, with both girls taking the lead at different points, finishing with a nail-biting last few minutes, with Lottie narrowly losing 14-16.
Well done to you both! Cornelia finished in the top 8 players out of 36 and Lottie finished 2nd overall, a fantastic achievement!
